After graduating from Naturopathic College, Dr. Harmonie Eleveld, ND began to notice a trend developing in her female patients. She observed that many women did not understand the correlation between the symptoms that they were experiencing as they age with hormonal changes that occur during perimenopause and menopause. With the goal of helping women realize that they don’t have to live in discomfort as a result of these symptoms, Dr. Eleveld decided to focus her practice on women’s health. This epiphany led to the creation of Natural Choice Medical Clinic in October of 2013. 

Since the dawn of her practice, Harmonie understood the importance of bringing female leaders to the forefront of her business. As the years have gone on, she has stuck with this conviction. She is passionate about assembling a team of incredible practitioners to provide the best quality care to help you achieve your health goals.

The mission of Natural Choice is, “to provide evidence based, complementary healthcare from compassionate and like minded practitioners, practicing a wide variety of therapies and work collaboratively as a team in order to serve the community of Guelph.”

History with the Business Centre

Being a consumer facing business, the COVID-19 pandemic struck Natural Choice Medical Clinic particularly hard. The team knew that they needed a boost in their digital output to continue bringing their amazing services to the citizens of Guelph. But they were unsure as to how they could make this a reality. Thankfully, their answer appeared in a Business Centre of Guelph-Wellington email marketing campaign, advertising the Digital Transformation Grant.

The exemplary Digital Main Street team provided Natural Choice with social media and email marketing training, propelling their brand awareness and client base to new heights. 

The $2500 Digital Transformation Grant also came up big for the company. It afforded them the ability to automate their email marketing system, purchase and implement webinar and workshop programs, and update their website. These virtual advancements took Natural Choice's offerings to the next level and simplified their customers' journey.

What I Learned

While learning about this amazing organization, I asked Natural Choice Medical Clinic Director, Carolyn Evans, what she would tell herself when she first started with the company. She exclaimed, "Don't be afraid or get down when you don't know something. Be open to continuous learning because nothing stays the same!"
