In this session Ms. Adina Croitoru is the Small Business Program Specialist will present the OHSA and simple steps to ensure that everyone returns home safe at the end of the day: what are legislation requests, how to comply , and resources to stay in compliance and increase the health and safety in the business.

Bridges to Better Business Business Strategy
Ms. Adina Croitoru is the Small Business Program Specialist with the Occupational Health and Safety Branch in the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development. Her role includes providing interpretation of Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and regulations and presents the Ministry’s position on small business health and safety issues. With an engineering education she has 15 years experience in creating, implementing, and evaluating practical approaches to increase the awareness and compliance with the OHSA for businesses with less than 50 workers. Her projects include outreach of over 11,000 small businesses with summer students, creating tools for ministry’s inspectors, works in partnership with Occupational Health and Safety system partners, and collaborating with the Institute of Work and Health on small business research studies.
